The champagne truffles in question were provided by a regular customer at the card store who felt guilty for making fun of my purple tights last week. He thought the chocolate would assist in making amends. He was correct.

However, I see no reason for making amends in this scenario. Purple tights are, for lack of a better term, "offensive" to the aesthetic experience of the high quality card patron. Perhaps a gold or silver tint would have been more to the liking of the obviously snobberish bloke in question.... champagne truffles and designer cards.... hmmm....??? Perhaps if the gentleman had merely shown the mental resources earlier to discover the, what some might call, "fun" nature of the purpurean garment, he could have hidden his bourgeois sentiments, and thereby failed to make a young woman sick. Such a dreadful bore really.... what was he thinking...
